Much love, care and personal investment goes into every creation at the Bread Social. Our hands on approach to our craft ensures we maintain an innate connection with our products and our processes. 

Our menu selection is quite simply based on the traditional foods that we like to eat, including our signature naturally leavened ‘Bread Social’ Sourdough and extra large custard tart.

The difference between a hand-crafted loaf to that of a mass produced commercial product is undeniable.

The process of creating our loaves begins 72 hours before it hits our shelves. Our sourdough starter was created on-site where it is nurtured, fed and stored in a temperature controlled environment before our loaves are hand shaped to create a product we’re truly proud to put our name to. Each day, a portion of our sourdough starter is kept for the following day’s baking where the daily rituals begin again. 

Part of our role in creating the perfect loaf is to manage the relationship between ingredients and environmental factors, ensuring that each process is provided the right amount of time to fulfil its role. Nurturing all the elements that contribute to creating our loaves is one of the favourite parts of our craft, our commitment to managing this balance, we believe, is what ultimately delivers a premium product.
